Specialised equipment used in minimally invasive surgical procedures to treat conditions inside blood vessels, instead of open surgery.

Ankura AAA Stent Graft System in Surgery

The Ankura AAA Stent Graft System is designed for the endovascular repair of abdominal aortic aneurysms, offering precision, stability, and ease of use for vascular surgeons. Its advanced tip capture mechanism allows for accurate placement and controlled deployment, while six strategically positioned barbs ensure secure anchoring to the vessel wall. The self-expanding nitinol stent provides strong radial force for long-term stability, and the sutureless main body design eliminates the risk of Type IV endoleaks caused by pinhole leakage.

The system features a dual-layer ePTFE membrane that reduces endoleaks and limits over-expansion, supported by interwoven threads for added structural control. The iliac extension graft is designed with a fin structure for secure, stable connections, and a spiral-woven connecting bar enhances flexibility during navigation. With radiopaque markers for accurate positioning and a kink-resistant delivery system coated in hydrophilic material, Ankura ensures smooth access and adaptability. Its modular three-piece design meets diverse anatomical and clinical needs, making it a reliable solution in complex EVAR procedures.
